Instructor: Ceresa Petitt

The Pre-Pharmacy class provides students with the necessary skills to become certification eligible as a pharmacy technician. Instructional content focuses on basic medical terminology, healthcare delivery systems, career exploration, law and ethics, and health maintenance practices. Students also study pharmacy opearations, medication uses, filling prescriptions, along with HIPAA and privacy rules.

HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)

HOSA is a student led organization designed around healthcare careers.

Students are encouraged to participate in local, state, and National Competitive events. This allows students to further develop leader qualities and to network other Healthcare Prefessionals.

Clinical Internship
  • 120 hours required within a real pharmacy
  • Submit to a Background Check
  • Submit to a Drug Screen
  • Register with the Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technicain in Training
