The Parks and Recreation program encompasses the social, cultural, economic, and psychological motivators that move people to work in the recreation and tourism industry. Students in this program will discover leadership, management, and social relationship skills that will lead them to a full-time career in the Recreation and Tourism industry. Students completing this program will have the skill set through hands-on experiences to become guides, instructors, interpreters, managers and program directors, park rangers, and tourism operators. Program participants will also be able to earn college credit through the EDGE program and articulation agreements. The course is open to all junior and senior students.
